Earlier this week I saw a post on a lovely blog that I follow Carina . She was selling several books that she no longer had room for, so I snapped up two books. One by one of my favourite printmakers Lotta Jansdotter and another 'A Year in Japan' by Kate T.Williamson, which has beautiful illustration. I hope these will give me fresh inspiration to start 2010! I also had to take a photo of the paper Carina wrapped them in, lovely repeat pattern. Cheak out Carina's blog she still has some fab books for sale!

Happy New Year!
So I know I am a few days late, but only just found the camera cable, finally! Over Christmas I went back to Hertfordshire to spend Christmas with my family. I love going home as the house is really cosy and Christmassy!
Getting the table ready for christmas dinner
Everybody loved the beautiful handmade gifts I bought for them, please check out some of these beautiful shops Summersville, Deebeale, PennyDog and Craftyfolk
Below is a framed print of mine (a christmas present for my mum ) and some beautiful magnets from Lu Summers (to add to the collection!)

Hope you all had a great Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone, hope you have a great 2010!
And a quick note, what a great way to start 2010, my interview is up on the fab blog Noisette Marketing. I am really thrilled that I have been featured! Hope you have a read!

My first commission

Since July 2007 I have been working on a commission with Limeart to design the image on the ward curtains in the new Children's hospital in Manchester. It has been a very exciting project for me, especially as it is my first commission.
The hospital opened in June this year, so quite a few months later I have finally had some free time to go and have a look at them. And it was very exciting!!! I was so happy when I saw my design on the curtains, they are a lovely blue colour and feature various shapes that children can identify with. Also printed on both sides which mean the patients have something to look at when they are in their beds!

Every christmas tree must have these!!
On Monday I spent most of my day off finding perfect handmade gifts for Christmas on Etsy. I have always loved lu summers shop Summersville. When I saw her tweet to give her 700th customer some extra goodies I couldn't resist and bought my mum a present from her shop.
I have been excited the past few days to recieve my parcel, so this morning when I opened it along with the lovely present were 3 decorations to hang on my tree. (very happy as I nearly bought these not long ago).
Take a look at her shop for great gifts and fabrics! Summersville
